Clinical Sexologist, Psychotherapist & Sexuality Researcher
Catriona Boffard is a clinical sexologist, psychotherapist and researcher and has been working in the field of sexology since 2013. She has been a member of MSH since 2012.
The supervision will focus on: sexual dysfunctions, particularly sexual pain. Catriona is also passionate about treating anxiety, relationship difficulties and working with clients to understand the intersection between the past and the present.
She was one of the first South Africans to be certified by the European Federation of Sexology – the highest attainable, internationally recognised qualification in Sexology.
Catriona runs a private practice in both South Africa and the United Kingdom, but consults with clients globally.
She presents academic, corporate and private workshops around the world. She has published numerous academic articles and chapters, including in the prestigeous Journal of Sexual Medicine, as well as the ESSM/ EFS academic textbook. She is an editor of the African Journal of Primary Health Care & Family Medicine.
Catriona is often consulted by the media globally for radio, television or print content. She is the resident sexologist for Desir, South Africa’s leading sexual health and wellness brand.
